IPAF 1A Lift course
This IPAF operator course is for users of 'Static Vertical' lifts. These machines are driven or pushed to their work location and will elevate when the stabilisers/legs/outriggers are deployed.
The purpose of the course:
To instruct an operator in the safe preparation and operation of various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and to achieve an IPAF MEWP operator licence.
At the end of the course, the operator will:
- Be aware of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Be aware of accident prevention and control.
- Be aware of the need for personal protection.
- Be aware of the need to refer to the machine's operating manual.
- Operate vertical lifting lifts safely and manoeuvre the machine as required to correctly position and perform the required tasks in a proper and orderly manner, both indoors and outdoors.
IPAF courses consist of a two-part test. The two-part test involves a theoretical and a practical test, both of which must be passed.
After passing the course, you will receive a course certificate, a PAL card (Powered Access Licence), a logbook, and a safety guide in the IPAF ePAL app. An IPAF certificate is valid for 5 years and is internationally recognised as proof of competence in the safe operation of lifts.
