1. Online theory
Flexible preparation on IPAF’s official platform.

What is covered
- E-learning access is arranged when booking.
- The theory section typically takes 2.5–3.5 hours.
- Theory must be completed and passed at least 2 days before practical training.
2. Practical training
Train on the equipment with instructor guidance.

- Practical training and safe MEWP operation.
- Assessment for the selected category.
- The practical section typically takes 2–5 hours, depending on experience and programme.
3. Documentation
Receive documentation after successfully completing the full programme.

- The course ends with both a theory and a practical assessment.
- Both assessments must be passed to obtain IPAF certification.
- Successful participants receive a PAL Card and documentation in the IPAF ePAL app. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
